We’re thrilled to share enhancements to Datassential's Concept Ideation platform, the industry's first and only AI-powered food and beverage innovation studio that first launched in 2019. Concept Ideation offers instant, data-backed and AI-powered feedback for every aspect of a food or beverage concept, helping you design and optimize concepts in real time.

Get Inspired
Have a general idea for a concept that’s a little fuzzy around the edges? While you can still “just start typing” concept ideas into the Concept Ideation BUILD screen to get instant feedback, users can now also generate inspiration to help ideate around something more broad, such as "pizza with mushrooms" or "bitter cocktail" - viewing examples from both real-world, in-market items and AI-generated ideas.
- The inspiration you see can be customized to show ideas that work in any type of restaurant, or you can specify if you’re looking to create a winning concept for a specific segment or chain.
- When you see an inspiration idea you like, you can direct the tool to populate that concept in the BUILD screen to further optimize and make it truly your own.

Generate Crave-Worthy Images
In our visual world, images are crucial to accompany concept ideas to illustrate the crave-factor. So once you’ve developed a new item in Concept Ideation, you can instantly generate a downloadable image of your item to use in presentation decks, customer meetings, concept testing, and more.
MENU TRENDS & CONSUMER PREFERENCES
Stay Ahead with New Menu and Consumer Insights
Datassential updates our menu trend tracking platform each quarter to provide clients with the most up-to-date insights amid constantly fluctuating offerings. New quarterly menu data was just released in April, along with upgrades to our menu collection process.
We also add new trend-forward foods, beverages and flavors in our consumer preferences platform each quarter. If you’re curious about sea moss, check back in June to see who the core audience is for this purported health-promoting, functional food - and identify who may be less than enthusiastic about it.
MENU TRENDS - CANADA
Predict the Future of Canadian Menu Trends
Thanks to Menucast, Datassential’s artificial intelligence engine that has an unrivaled 98% accuracy in predicting growth for menu items in the U.S., clients know when a trend is here to stay and whether or not to act on it. Now, Menucast predictions are also available in Canada, allowing users to view Canadian menu trend predictions up to four years into the future. Canadian Menucast predictions are found in the Menu Trends Canada platform and long-term trend exports.

The vast U.S. chain restaurant landscape is ever-changing, and Datassential is constantly adding new chain coverage to our suite of tools to provide the most comprehensive insights for our clients.
