A User-Centered New SNAP Design

To make it even easier for you to identify and get the data and insights you need, SNAP has been redesigned with tools now organized by four primary use cases:

  • Menu & Consumer – build personalized and data driven sales stories, defend and win placements, and guide on-trend innovation

As before, you can continue to access the tools in your subscription from the SNAP dropdown, just via these new categories.

SNAP Just Got Hotter

Datassential’s Heat Score measures the growth in consumer familiarity with foods, beverages, flavors, and brands. The Heat Score is now included in SNAP so users can track changes in both menu penetration and consumer awareness in one view.

Consumer Preferences for Emerging Trends

We’re continually adding new keywords to our Consumer Preferences database to track how consumers feel about new foods and flavors. Are you curious how many consumers are aware of Monkey 47, or which generation loves butter mochi most? Log in to Consumer Preferences in June for the answer!

AI Update: Haiku Projections in Long Term Trend Reports

Datassential uses machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence to enhance our tools in a multitude of ways, including informing our menu penetration forecast estimates four years into the future. Now, that predicted penetration is available in Menu Trends long term trend exports so you can view not only what penetration looks like today, but where it’s heading in the future, even when you’re offline.

Just Released: New Category Overviews

In addition to Summary Reports detailing menu penetration trends, Category Overviews are now available in Menu Trends for key categories including breakfast dishes, burgers, sandwiches and more. Category Overviews cover top and trending items, regional skews, chain introductions, and consumer experience data (for Consumer Preferences subscribers). Find these reports in Menu Trends.
